Gayatri Chalisa

Goddess Mother Gayatri, She is an aspect of Mata Saraswati, Mata Lakshmi & Mata Parvati, all three in one form, a form of Adi Shakti, possessing the Rajasi Guna and hence is the source of Brahma’s power. Without her, Brahma remains dormant or unable to create. It’s said that if we worship anyone, Gayathri Lakshmi Saraswati Durga or Radha devi it is equal to worshiping all the pancha (5) matha.

Gayatri Chalisa is one of the most powerful prayer in Hinduism. The Gayatri Chalisa is a forty verse prayer which is dedicated to the universal mother Goddess Gayatri. Before reciting this prayer one should recite Gayatri Mantra. The daily reciting of this prayer cleans ones KARMA, this all powerful prayer bestows you with all the material as well as the spiritual benefit’s to those who recite it. The Gayatri Chalisa in Sanskrit Hindi and the English Translation in given below. The word Chalisa is derived from Chalis in Hindi, which means 40, as the Gayatri Chalisa has 40 verses.

Gayatri Chalisa has 2 dohas at beginning as under –

Om Hrim, Shrim, Klim, Medha, Prabha, Jeevan, Jyoti, Prachand; |
Shanti, Kranti, Jagruti, Pragati, Rachana, Shakti Aakhand; ||
Jagat Janani, Mangal Karni, Gayatri Sukh Dham; |
Pranavo Savitri, Swadha, Swaha Puran Kaam. ||

Bhoorbhuvahswah Om Yut Janani, Gayatri Nit Kalimal Dahani,
Akshar Chaubis Param Puneeta, Inme Base Shastra Shuti Geeta,

Shashwat Satoguni Satrupa, Satya Sanatan Sudha Anoopa,
Hansarudh Swetambhar Dhari, Swarn Kranti Suchi Gagan Bihari;

Sumiran Kare Suruchi Badbhagi, Lahen manorath Grahi Viragi,
Astha Siddhi Nav Nidhi Ki Data, Sab Samarath Gayatri Mata;

Rishi Muni Yati, Tapasvi, Jogi, Arat Arthi Chintit Bhogi,
Jo Jo Sharan Tumari Aave, So So Manvanchit Phal Paven,

Bal Buddhi Vidya Shil Swabhavu, Dhan Vaibhav Yash tej Uchaau,
Sakal Badhe Upje Sukh Na Na, Jo Yah Path Kare Dhari Dhayana;

Yeh Chalisa Bhakti Yut Path Kare Jo Koi,
